The School of Starship Engineering was an educational facility under the umbrella of Corellia University. Fia graduated from the school several months before the liberation of Kal'Shebbol.

In 1 ABY on of their leading instructors lost a datapad on a recreational wilderness trip when she encountered dangerous creatures. As the datapad contained irreplacable information about a new starship design, the school secured funding for an expedition to the creatures' lair on the pretext of studying the death modes of these animals. They hired a freelance spacer to travel to the lair, kill the creatures and retrieve the datapad.^[1]
