The Scientific Instrument Package, sometimes called an SIP or Scientific Information Packet was a data collection and storage device.

During the Clone Wars, Jedi General Rii'ke En was sent to recover a SIP on the planet Honoghr. It contained data on the various viruses and strains created onboard the Confederacy of Independent Systems research ship the Gahenna, including the powerful defoliant TriHexalophine1138.
