The scintil vine was a kind of flowering vine native to the planet of Ruusan. When its flowers were mixed with powdered tass root and dampened they formed a highly corrosive paste. In 980 BBY, the hermit Darovit used the paste to sabotage the construction of a monument being built in the Valley of the Jedi to honor the Jedi of the Army of Light who sacrificed their lives to destroy the Brotherhood of Darkness.
