Scyks were vicious reptiles that were native to Tatooine. They may have belonged to the same genus as the rills and the dragonets. Scyks would attack creatures or people on sight for no reason. The starship manufacturing company MandalMotors named their M3-A Scyk-class starfighter after this creature. A number of scyks lived on the swamp planet Taris during the Cold War, and were known as tremor maws by settlers.
Behind the scenes
Scyks first appeared in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online-role playing game developed by Sony and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.
