During the Cold War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, the Empire maintained a secret listening post on an island north of Avilatan. The base was under the command of Lieutenant Marcovic of the Imperial Military.[1]
Around 3,643 BBY, an unknown Jedi Knight infiltrated the base with the astromech droid T7-O1 to access records of t. After the Knight defeated Lieutenant Marcovic, T7 recovered files revealing that Angral was attempting to seize control of several Republic superweapon projects.[1]

The Imperial Listening Post was created for Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game released by BioWare on December 20, 2011. An area on Ord Mantell, it is only accessible as part of the Jedi Knight quest on the planet.[1]
