With the Imperial outpost in the Vergesso Asteroids fallen, the Second Battle of Tatooine started when the Alliance fleet moved from the Vergesso asteroids to Tatooine.

Alliance forces swept into an Imperial base, took down the shields, and allowed bombing runs to take place, but suffered several casualties at the hands of Boba Fett, who was hired by the Empire to guard the base at the time. After the shields were brought down, Y-Wings were used to destroy the Imperial base.
