The Second Battle of Tatooine was a conflict between the Galactic Empire and smugglers working for the Rebel Alliance, in the Dead Bantha Gulch on Tatooine, resulting in the death of all Imperial troops.

History Edit

After the Battle of Yavin, the Rebel Alliance suffered under a deficit of Blaster weapons and ammunition, so Platt Okeefe was sent out with her partner, Tru'eb Cholakk to smuggle a load of ammo. To finish that deal, they arranged a meeting on Tatooine but Okeefe was tracked down by the Imperial officer Birket, who tried to create a setup for Okeefe by abducting the Twi'lek Cholakk and using him as a decoy.

After the imperial troops waited secretly, and the incoming Last Chance landed near the rendezvouz point, Okeefe entered the Luudrian Star and was caught within the trap. Birket and his troops took Cholakk as a hostage. While beeing arrested, Darrik managed to confuse the Major by taking control of the ship. Therefore they could free themselves, but were challenged with an AT-ST walker and some stormtroopers awaiting. In just time, both started their ships' ignitions and fought the Imperial forces. With the surpre factor now on their side, the smugglers were able to destroy the walker and kill all enemy troopers.

After their victory, the smugglers hurried with the exchange of goods, considering that Imperial reinforcements would arrive soon. Finally Platt Okeefe delivered Birket to the Rebels, instead of selling him into slavery. Also thanks to the new equipment, the Rebels were able to start organizing new operations.
