The Second Herglic Feud took place in 9757 BBY[1] and shared its name with the Herglic species, whose trade empire joined the Galactic Republic around 13,000 BBY.[2] The conflict saw the participation of the Republic's Rocket-Jumper Elite Advance Unit. The rocket-jumpers fought bravely during the event,[1] which became known as one of the unit's legendary exploits.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
The Second Herglic Feud was introduced in a section of the 2009 Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Roleplaying Game sourcebook Galaxy at War[3] authored by Daniel Wallace.[4] A mention of the conflict was originally meant to be included in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart; however, the Wallace-authored section that would have contained the mention was cut before the book's release. That section was later released in 2014 as part of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, a series of articles published on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and[1] Del Rey editor[5] Erich Schoeneweiss containing various content cut from the book.[1]
