Sector 3 was the designation of an area of space in the Mid Rim shortly after the Declaration of a New Order in 19 BBY; it does not appear to have been a traditional political sector, as it was controlled by a regional governor based on Bimmisaari in Halla sector, but extended as far as Kashyyyk in Mytaranor sector.

The Sector 3 was the theaters of operations of the Republic 3rd Sector Army during the Clone Wars. After the Declaration of a New Order, it was reorganized in an Imperial Priority Sector and placed under the rule of Grand Moff Kohl Seerdon.^[1][2]
