Imperial Grand Admiral Zaarin utilized three Cargo Ferries named Sela as part of the "Arms Race" during the Galactic Civil War. Cargo Ferries Sela transported TIE Defender prototypes to rendezvous with Escort Carrier Hininbirg, headed to Coruscant for review by Emperor Palpatine. Ferries Sela came under attack by Rebel starfighters near XQ6 Platform Research at the beginning of their journey, however Imperial TIE Avengers repelled the attack.
