Selit was the regional governor of a Priority Sector in the Galactic Empire.

Faced with the task of suppressing well-established Rebel forces on a number of planets in his territory, Governor Selit asked Army Command for advice on which surface craft were best deployed in such circumstances. Ironically, the military report was acquired by the Rebels, and became the basis of their own standard guide to Imperial armor.
