Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

The Senate Guard Committee was a committee of the Galactic Senate that oversaw the Senate Guard and the Captain of the Guard. It was most likely dissolved in the early years of the Imperial Period. Despite some objections from senators like Mon Mothma and Leia Organa, the Emperor likely dissolved it. Due to the fact that the later Imperial Senate Guard primarily answered to the Emperor, it is likely he eliminated the Committee to ensure the control of the guard.
