The Senatorial speeder barn was a division of the Coruscant-based Senate Apartment Complex. In it, different Senators housed within the complex stored their personal airspeeders and other vehicles they utilized in the large city-planet.

Senator Simon Greyshade was known to have stored his personal craft, the XJ-6 airspeeder, in this speeder barn. After a failed assassination attempt on Padmé Amidala's life, Jedi Anakin Skywalker rushed into the barn and picked out Greyshade's vehicle to chase assassin Zam Wesell and rescue his Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. After the ensuing chase and subsequent death of the assassin, the XJ-6 was stealthily moved back into its spot in the Senatorial speeder barn by the Jedi, much to the dismay of the local Coruscant officials, who were forced to write it off as a "rookie error".
