Serroco (SAIR-A-CO)[2] was the homeworld of the primitive Stereb, and had a sizable Human population. The planet was represented in the Galactic Senate and had a Republic Navy watchstation. The Humans there lived on a different continent than the Stereb, away from their low-tech ways. The planet was buffeted by high wind storms. This planet was nearly destroyed by the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders.
Serroco was the site of a major campaign during the Mandalorian Wars. During this battle, the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders destroyed the Stereb cities with nuclear weapons, turning them into glass craters. After the Wars, displaced veterans and refugees from Serroco formed the Serroco gang in the Refugee Sector on Nar Shaddaa whom the Jedi Exile later encountered.
During the Jedi Civil War, First Patriarch Lelin-Dor was assassinated by Revan, who considered him a destabilizing influence.

Behind the scenes
Edit
In the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords video game Human Serrocans seem to share facial characteristics with East Asian people of real-world Earth and also have what seems to be Australian accents.
The cities of Serroco seem to be modeled after those of the ancient Maya and Inca civilizations.
