Serooin's Gear was a shop located on the West Cliff of Betha Starport on the smuggler's planet Betha II. The establishment was owned and operated by a Squib infochant named Arrejis Mellaha. Serooin's specialized in both legal and illegal personal gear,^[1] which it offered at 20% higher than the going rate.^[2]

When an Imperial faction known as the Kaarenth Dissension began sowing anti-human and anti-New Republic feeling among the aliens of Corva sector in 9 ABY,^[3] Mellaha grew paranoid. He greeted visitors to his shop with a short temper and a hidden blaster. He began to liquidate Serooin's stock so he could relocate to a safer location.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Serooin's Gear is the site of a brief encounter during the roleplaying adventure "Counterstrike" for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published in the Star Wars Adventure Journal 8. The shop serves as a place from which the player characters may resupply before they undertake their mission. "Counterstrike" was reprinted in Classic Adventures: Volume Four - The Best of the Journal.
