Shadow Base was a base located on Mindor and used by Cronal in his guise as Lord Shadowspawn. Sited inside a volcano and capable of launching gravity bombs, it could be launched into space by the use of gravitic charges. In the course of Cronal's plan to capture Luke Skywalker and destroy the New Republic task force sent to end Shadowspawn's reign, Cronal launched the base into space, where it broke apart and was destroyed.
