Shadow Squadron was one of the X-Wing squadrons assigned to General Han Solo's fleet on his hunt for Warlord Zsinj and the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Iron Fist.

Shadow Squadron worked with the rest of Wedge Antilles's starfighter group at Selaggis Six, which included the X-Wing Squadrons of Corsair Squadron, High Flight Squadron, Rogue Squadron, Wraith Squadron, the A-Wing equipped Polearm Squadron, and the B-Wing equipped Nova Squadron.

Shadow Squadron lost at least Shadow Twelve and worked with Polearm Squadron reconnoitering Selaggis Six's moons looking for Iron Fist before it was located by Polearm One Todra Mayn, a Human from Commenor.
