Shafu was a Rodian slave trader who lived sometime before the Cold War. Jedi Master Ven Zallow and his droid T7-O1 put Shafu out of business by convincing the Rodian to release all of his slaves. Zallow convinced Shafu to become an informant for the Jedi, and Shafu returned to Hutt Space. The Rodian disappeared after the Sacking of Coruscant, where Master Zallow met his end at the hands of Darth Malgus.

Behind the scenes

Shafu was mentioned in a conversation with the Jedi Knight companion character T7-01, in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game released by BioWare on December 20, 2011.
