Shao to Gok was a male member of a bipedal, yellow-skinned species that had a pointed tail and three digits on each hand and foot. Shao to Gok's skin was covered in red blotches, and he had yellow eyes. He worked as both an information scout and an itinerant preacher. Gok was known on several outlaw worlds, and teamed up with a nameless telepath, whose origins were considered "dubious." The telepath would perch itself on the preacher's shoulder. Gok made use of a staff, and wore a white robe.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

In Star Wars Galaxy Magazine 3 (1995), the "Design An Alien" competition was launched, asking Star Wars fans to create new aliens based on what they had seen in the original trilogy of Star Wars films. 23-year-old Martin Schlierkamp entered his creation of Shao to Gok into the competition, and although it was not showcased alongside the winners of the competition in Star Wars Galaxy Magazine 7 (1996), it was later published in Star Wars Galaxy Magazine 10 (1997), as a "honorable mention."[1] Leland Chee, keeper of the Holocron continuity database, later stated that the successfully published "Design an Alien" material was considered canon.[2] Shao to Gok, however, has not been mentioned in any further Star Wars material.
