Shea Hublin was a renowned pilot of the Galactic Empire known as the "Rebel Destroyer." During the Galactic Civil War, Hublin was featured on Imperial recruiting posters, some of which were vandalized by disgruntled locals.
He eventually attained the rank of captain and in 17 BBY, Hublin and the Destrier were assigned to the Western Reaches Superiority Force, a military force commanded by the admiralsBannidge Holt and Terrinald Screed that had been tasked with drivingConfederate holdout forces from the Western Reaches region. Hublin fought with distinction during various battles[1] and as part of the campaign, he and the 77th Air Wing were deployed on the planet Kelrodo-Ai, where Separatist forces had became entrenched in the world's Citadel of Axes. While on Kelrodo-Ai, Hublin was interviewed by the Eriadu News Service reporter Eris Harro, and he explained to her the role that the 77th Air Wing was playing in the Western Reaches Operation. Despite suffering heavy loss, Hublin and his pilots succeeded at bring down the shields that surrounded the Citadel,[3] which paved the way for an Imperial ground assault on the installation. He went on to achieve further victories in the Western Reaches and he helped to defeat the Iskapirates at Fanha, then wiped out the privateers of the pirate-lord Guun Cutlax at Tosste. Hublion's made him the talk of the HoloNet and he was featured on Imperial recruitment posters all across the galaxy.[1]

Following the conclusion of the Western Reaches Operation, Hublin was appointed as the Air Marshal of Greater Seswenna and he was granted a marquisate on the planet Eriadu, where he married Eris Harro,[1] the reporter that he had encountered during the battle on Kelrodo-Ai.[3] Hublin continued to participate in anti-pirate operations across Oversector Outer, but after his squadron was ambushed by rebel forces at the world Vale, Hublin lost his leg and half of his right arm. At his wife's behest, Hublin transferred to line command position and he joined the crew of the Star DestroyerKabalian Cross, where he directed a squadron from the ship's bridge and became known by the sobriquet "the Rebel Destroyer." However, Hublin later lost favor with the Imperial Navy after he urged that they replace the Empire's TIE/LN starfighters with a shielded, hyperspace-capable make of fighter.[1] In about 1 ABY, Hublin attended the Thirteenth Imperial Diplomatic Conclave, a pro-Imperial gathering on the planet Phelarion that was hosted by LadyThalassa Tarkin.[2]
Following the defeat of the Empire during the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Oversector Outer's commander AdmiralArdus Kaine transferred his command center to the planet Bastion and requested that Hublin accompany him. However, Hublin declined and chose to remain on Eriadu, where he entered the service of the Eriadu Authority, an Imperial Remnant faction that was led by Superior GeneralSander Delvardus. Operating as a starfighter pilot once again, Hublin lead a squadron in battle against the forces of the Nagai at the world Chelleya, to drive them away from Eriadu. When Delvardus announced that he planned to conquer the Core Worlds, Hublin abandoned the general, but he reluctantly returned into the fold of Delvardus' forces following the Eriadu Authority's defeat at the planet Sullust in 5 ABY. Hublin subsequently participated in an engagement against the New Republic at the world Sanrafsix, where his squadron was destroyed by a flight of Republic X-wing starfighter. As his fighter was overcame by laser fire, Hublin opened his comm channel and in the last moments before his death proclaimed that "Eriadu endures."[1]
