Shelkonwa was a planet in the Shelsha sector of the Colonies.

DescriptionEdit

Shelkonwa was the capital planet of Shelsha sector. Its capital was Makrin City that contained Shelkonwa governor's palace. The planet had three spaceports, including Makrin Main Spaceport and Greencliff Regional Spaceport.^[2]

HistoryEdit

Shelkonwa joined the Galactic Republic prior to the Indecta Era. During the Alsakan Conflicts, it supported Alsakan.^[3]

In 0.5 ABY, Princess Leia Organa travelled to Makrin City in order to negociate the support of the Rebel Alliance in Imperial Governor Barshnis Choard's plot to declare the independence of Shelsha sector. Choard was eventually betrayed by his Chief Administrator, Vilim Disra who asked the assistance of Darth Vader. Leia Organa managed to escape the 501st Legion but Governor Choard was arrested by Emperor's Hand Mara Jade and the Hand of Judgment.^[2]
