Shelter

Shelter was a space station located in the Maw. It was owned by Lando Calrissian, and was a part of the Great River network during the Yuuzhan Vong War. It was built from the remains of a previous top secret Imperial weapons facility, the infamous Maw Installation. It consisted of an asteroid with a living module, power core, and a rudimentary defense system attached to it.

When the Academy on Yavin 4 was attacked by the Peace Brigade in 26 ABY, Shelter became a temporary praxeum for the younglings under the care of Tionne and Kam Solusar.

A newly born Ben Skywalker was also sent to the Maw while his parents, Mara Jade Skywalker and Luke Skywalker were on Coruscant investigating an Imperial Dark Jedi experiment.
