The Shi'kar Straits was an asteroid belt formed after a comet hit the homeworld of the Shi'kar species, obliterating it into many pieces.^[1] It was located in the Nembus sector of the Outer Rim Territories.

HistoryEdit

By the time of the Clone Wars, the Shi'kar Straits had become a haven for smugglers, pirates, and scavengers. The tumultuous asteroids prevented large Republic starships from policing the area. The Shi'kar Straits were visited by the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano, who were trying to track down the Zygerrian Slavers Guild.^[1]
