- "Orders direct from the fleet—Mon Mothma's asked you to retrieve logs of Imperial communications that were intercepted by several rebel cells along the Shipwrights' Trace."
- ―Arhul Narra, to Luke Skywalker
The Shipwrights' Trace was a hyperspace route situated between the astronomical objects Foless and Allanteen VI,[6] running near the planet Quarzite.[7] From Foless, located in the Colonies region along Corellian Trade Spine[6] super-hyperroute,[8] the route went into the Inner Rim Territories to the celestial body Atzerri and then the astronomical body Chardaan,[6] located in the Chardaan system[2] along the Hydian Way[6] super-hyperroute.[8] The route then went into the Expansion Region to the[6] planet[9] Tynna and then to Allanteen VI, which lay on the Corellian Run[6] super-hyperroute.[8] The planet Whiforla II was located along the Shipwrights' Trace.[4]
During the early rebellion against the Galactic Empire, the Deep Current, an information-gathering resistance group based around Tynna, operated along the Shipwrights' Trace.[10] During the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, Alliance Chancellor Mon Mothma tasked the operative Luke Skywalker with retrieving logs of Imperial communications that were intercepted by rebel cells operating along the Shipwrights' Trace.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
The Shipwrights' Trace was first mentioned in canon in the 2015 junior novel The Weapon of a Jedi: A Luke Skywalker Adventure, written by Jason Fry.[4]
