Shyn was the uvak owned by Sith Saber Orielle Kitai, a member of the Lost Tribe of Sith on Kesh. When Kitai was condemned to slavery following the assassination attempt in the Korsinata, Kitai had to hide the creature in the barn belonging to Jelph Marrian, as slaves were not allowed to own uvak. Shyn was killed when the Sith Sawj and Flen Luzo came to Jelph Marrian's farm to confiscate Kitai's lightsaber.
