- "Die in the name of the true Emperor!"
- ―Sigel Dare[src]
Sigel Dare was a female Human Imperial Knight serving Emperor Roan Fel c. 130 ABY. She was dutiful and fiercely loyal to her cause, and also had a cold, unwavering demeanor, particularly towards those not aligned with the Empire, such as the Jedi and the members of the Galactic Alliance Remnant. Her Master was Treis Sinde, who did not share her more conservative views of galactic affairs.

[edit] Biography
[edit] Retaking Bastion
Sigel was one of the three Imperial Knights that escorted Roan Fel to Bastion in 137 ABY during his recapture of the planet.
[edit] Mission to Dac
Later, she was dispatched alongside Master Sinde to Dac to sabotage the prototype Imperious-class Star Destroyer that was being constructed there. They planted three sets of bombs that were set to go off once the weapon systems on the Imperious were activated. This was scheduled to be done away from the planet, so Sigel and Treis figured that the Mon Calamari wouldn't be blamed for it. But what they didn't know was that Admiral Gar Stazi of the Galactic Alliance Remnant also had plans for the Sith's new ship.
Gar Stazi successfully stole the Imperious in a battle with his nemesis. When word of this reached Darth Krayt, he was outraged. He traveled to Dac and ordered a genocide of the Mon Calamari to punish them for their support of Stazi.
[edit] Helping Stazi
Meanwhile, Treis and Sigel rescued one of Stazi's pilots, Monia Gahan. They told her about the sabotage of the Imperious so she could warn Stazi. Sigel didn't like helping Stazi, believing him to be just as bad an enemy to Fel as Krayt was. But Treis persuaded her to put aside her prejudices and do what was best for the galaxy. After rescuing all the Alliance personnel on Dac, they stole a shuttle and left for Stazi's fleet. However, Treis had to stay behind to fight off Darth Azard.
After arriving at the Alliance fleet, Sigel showed Stazi where all the bombs were. Stazi, after talking with Monia, told Sigel to contact Emperor Fel and tell him he was willing to re-open negotiations for allying against the Sith. Dare complied. The result of the negotiations was a loose alliance between the Remnant and Empire-in-Exile.
[edit] Back to Dac
After an assassination attempt on Darth Krayt, Fel sent Dare back to Dac to retrieve Master Sinde.
[edit] Personality
- "You need to see the larger picture, Sigel."
- ―Tries Sinde[src]
Sigel Dare was very devoted to Roan Fel and his Empire. But her devotion to him sometimes blinded her to what was important for the galaxy. One example of this was her reluctance to warn Stazi of the sabotage to the Imperious, and another was her reluctance to rescue Monia's fellow Rogue pilots. She was described as icy, and rigid.
Dare was also apparently, like Antares Draco, critical of the Jedi. When she and Sinde rescued Monia Gahan, she thought they were Jedi, to which Dare said they were better than Jedi.
