Silkweed was a flora native to the planet Kushibah, the homeworld of the simian Kushibans. It was used by the natives to produce hand-woven textiles which made them famous.

This involved harvesting and then combining the silkweed and with fur they brushed from their coats daily and then spinning it with thread. The thread would then be used to weave cloth and tapestries in a wide variety of colors.
