Simi Noor was a member of the Jedi Order who served as a Jedi Padawan during the Clone Wars. Noor, lacking experience with the Grand Army of the Republic's clone troopers, did not know that the clones possessed informal names in addition to their Kaminoan-assigned numerical designations for some time after the start of the Clone Wars, and was surprised to learn the truth. Though Noor questioned what sorts of things the Republic's clone soldiers thought about, the Padawan incorrectly believed that the clones did not suffer, as they had been created for war and knew no other life.
