City surveillance droids were small, flying hovercam droids used by organizations such as the Taris Civil Authority and the Sith to monitor cities on worlds such as Manaan and Taris for crime circa 3,956 BBY.

Earlier, when the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders besieged Taris, a city surveillance droid attempted to issue a parking citation to a Mandalorian bomb that had failed to explode when it hit the planetary surface. The result was that the bomb at last did explode, incinerating the overzealous droid. Residents found this incident amusing, as the droids were generally considered a nuisance.
