Beeps were frogs apparently altered by Naga Sadow using Sith alchemy to serve as tracking devices.

The Sith Tracking Device Creature or STDC was used by Naga Sadow to follow Starbreaker 12 to the Republic from Khar Shian. This in turn led to the war of Coruscant, Koros Major, Kirrek and the First Battle of Korriban. The STDC was a froglike droid/animal which let off a homing signal. The STDC was only seen used by Naga Sadow but it is possible it was created by the previous dark lords of the Sith.

Behind the scenesEdit

While they are canon, these creatures were never actually named. Note, that they may simply be machines shaped like animals, or a fusion of machine and animal created through Sith alchemy.
