A Sith training saber was a practice weapon used by students at the Sith academy on Korriban.

SpecificationsEdit

Training sabers had durasteel blades with blunt edges, and were balanced to mimic real lightsabers. The blade of a training saber was covered with millions of microscopic toxin-filled barbs taken from pelko bugs that would cause burns to the skin on contact and temporarily paralyze the surrounding area to mimic the effect of losing a limb.^[1]

While the sabers were intended as non-lethal training weapons, their metal shafts could be used as blunt force melee weapons, a use that many of the students and instructors were well aware of.^[2][1]
