The Sixty Hour War was a battle fought at Derilyn in the early years of the Galactic Civil War.

Frustrated at the growth of rebel activity on Derilyn, Imperial authorities ordered the known rebellious groups to be executed and order instituted. During the conflict, the city of Paran was leveled—presumably with orbital bombardment.

The event gave birth to the Friends of Paran.
