The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

Shortly after the Battle of Yavin and the establishment of the blockade around Yavin 4. Amidst the debris of the Death Star I, two Rebel pilots, Shara and X2 fought a number of TIE Fighters over a transponder containing recognition codes to bypass the blockade. The Rebels emerged victorious and managed to reclaim the device.

As a result of Operation Skyhook, the Rebel Alliance managed to retrieve the entire blueprint of the Death Star. After locating a thermal exhaust port, they then dispatched Blue Squadron, Green Squadron, Red Squadron and Gold Squadron in order to damage the superlaser and distract the bulk of Imperial firepower from Gold and Red Squadron, the latter of whom were tasked with locating and firing photon torpedoes into the thermal detonator to destroy the Death Star before it destroyed Yavin 4, having exited hyperspace in the Yavin System thanks to a transmitter planted on the Millennium Falcon. One of the members of Red Squadron, Red Five, a.k.a. Luke Skywalker, managed to make the decisive shot due to his Force abilities. The Empire, in revenge for the defeat, then promptly sent a fleet to Yavin 4 to blockade the planet to prevent Rebel forces from escaping.
