During the Flesh Raider uprising on the Deep Core world of Tython during the Cold War, the apprentice of Jedi Master Orgus Din was forced to defend Kalikori village's agricultural fields from an attack by Flesh Raider saboteurs. In 3643 BBY, after a successful raid on a Flesh Raider shield generator in the Tythos Ridge mountains, the Padawan returned to the Twi'lek settlement of Kalikori Village in search of news on Din, who was leading a strike force of Jedi in an attack upon the Flesh Raider command base. Just as the Padawan arrived, however, a team of Flesh Raiders broke through the village's lines and planted toxin mines in the Twi'leks' agricultural fields, poisoning their crops. At the request of the village's Matriarch Ranna Tao'Ven, the Padawan braved the poisonous clouds using the Force and disabled the mines, defeating the saboteurs and ensuring the village's safety.

In 3643 BBY,[3] near the end of the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, the native Flesh Raiders of the Jedi Order's homeworld of Tython began attacking in greater numbers. The Order had recently discovered that the former Padawan of Jedi Master Orgus Din, the Nautolan Bengel Morr—who had vanished during the Sacking of Coruscant ten years ago—was the mastermind behind the Flesh Raiders' invasion. Din's newest apprentice had been sent to disable a Flesh Raider shield generator so that another team of Jedi could attack the Flesh Raider command base.[1]
However, after disabling the generator, Din's Padawan was contacted by Bengel Morr, who warned the Jedi that he planned to destroy the Order. Worried about Morr's plans, the apprentice raced back to the village of Kalikori, looking for Master Din to warn him.[1]
The raid

When the Padawan arrived back at the Matriarch's compound, the Jedi was greeted by Ranna Tao'Ven—her mother Sumari had died while the Jedi was gone, making Tao'Ven the new leader of the Pilgrims. Before Tao'Ven could discuss Orgus's whereabouts, a villager named Eseni rushed in and began to warn them that Flesh Raiders had attacked again. The enemy had left toxin mines in the village's crop fields, which had poisoned one of the scouts when they tried to approach.[1]
Tao'Ven begged the apprentice to help, believing that the Force could protect the young Jedi long enough to stop the mines. The apprentice agreed and rushed to the fields, where the enemy had planted three toxin mines. Using the Force power known as breath control to stop most of the poisonous effects of the gas, the Padawan began to disable the mines. However, several Flesh Raiders had buried themselves in the ground and burst out to attack the Jedi in an attempt to stop the apprentice, but the apprentice defeated them and successfully saved the village's crops from further harm.[1]

Returning to the Matriarch's building, the apprentice was thanked by Tao'Ven for the help. After giving the Jedi a token of the village's thanks, she left to tell the village the good news. The apprentice, meanwhile, contacted Master Din via holocomm and learned of his success against the Flesh Raiders. When the Padawan informed Din of Morr's goal of destroying the Jedi so he could ultimately rebuild them and destroy the Sith, he was relieved to hear that his former apprentice was not a Sith himself. During the attack on the Flesh Raiders' command base, Din had found the locations of many other camps—too many camps for the Jedi Council to only send Jedi Masters. As a result, Din requested that his apprentice take out the base located in the ruins of Kaleth, since the apprentice had already defeated some of the natives who had been based at that camp.[1]
Behind the scenes
The skirmish in the Kalikori Village fields appears in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game released by BioWare on December 20, 2011. The raid represents the events of the Jedi Knight class story mission "The Face of the Enemy," where the player returns to the village in search of Orgus Din but is forced to stop a Flesh Raider attack on the village.[1]

The Old Republic—The Lost Suns 2 takes place ten years after the treaty, one week after the mission to Nar Shaddaa, and around the time of the SpecForce Incident. Since the mission and the incident are respectively part of Act I of the Jedi Knight and Republic Trooper's storylines, and the Trooper's Act I occurs concurrent to Act I of the Smuggler storyline, the general events of Act I for all classes can be assumed to occur in 3643 BBY.
The Prologue for each class immediately precedes Act I, and The Old Republic Encyclopedia places the Battle of Ilum at the end of Act III in 3640 BBY. Assuming that in-universe chronology of the Star Wars: The Old Republic events roughly aligns with the release of story content in real-life as with Forums: Dear Story Team, What Year Are We Currently In? on The Old Republic's official website (backup link), the Act III Epilogue must take place near the end of 3640 BBY since it was the chronologically latest story of the The Old Republic base game, which was released toward the end of 2011. Therefore, assuming that The Old Republic takes place over the course of three years per the former of the two aforementioned swtor.com posts, Act I takes place near the end of 3643 BBY.
