Skups were a Near-Human[1] species. A legend said that ages ago, another species genetically altered them in order to sell them to the Hutts.[3]
They differed from the Human norm by their small, closely-spaced eyes,[1] large noses, and four-fingered hands.[2] Their skin was described as the "color of dianoga cheese." They were not known for their prowess in battle, though a number of notable master thieves were Skups.[1]
Skups were sometimes referred to as "biomorphs," which may imply that their species was originally produced via deliberate genetic manipulation.[1]
Anky Fremp, a friend of the future bounty hunter Greedo, was a Sionian Skup.[1]
