- "You must be sure to visit the Skydome Botanical Gardens. The Mysess blossoms are in full bloom and, oh, my, oh, my, are they something to see."
- ―A taxi droid
The Skydome Botanical Gardens were a set of gardens in Galactic City, the ecumenopolis that covered the planet Coruscant.[1] Around 9 ABY,[2] a taxi droid driving from the Galaxies Opera House to Amnesty Housing on Coruscant advised its fare, new-comer to Coruscant Doctor Penn Pershing, to visit the gardens, explaining that the Mysess blossoms there were in bloom and were a sight to behold.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current Star Wars canon, the Skydome Botanical Gardens were mentioned in "Chapter 19: The Convert," the third episode of the Disney+ show The Mandalorian's third season,[1] which aired on March 15, 2023.[3] The gardens originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they first appeared in Kevin J. Anderson's 1994 novel, Jedi Search.[4] It was then depicted for the first time in Legends on a map in Coruscant and the Core Worlds, a 2003 roleplaying supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game produced by Wizards of the Coast.[5]
