Skyhopper
- "It's not impossible. I used to bull's-eye womp rats in my T-16 back home. They're not much larger than two meters."
- ―Luke Skywalker on the plan to destroy the Death Star
A skyhopper was any airspeeder designed to operate within a planet's atmosphere. Skyhoppers were commonly used as pleasure or utility craft, and were often piloted as racers by bush-pilots in the Outer Rim Territories.
Incom Corporation's T-16 skyhopper was perhaps the most famous model. Luke Skywalker owned one during his youth on Tatooine, and Owen Lars was known to have kept an earlier model at his father's homestead during the era of the Clone Wars. Most of Luke's piloting ability in an X-Wing was from his use of the Skyhopper, since both craft where made by Incom and has very similar Cockpits and controls.
