Slag was the first planet from the sun in the Sacorrian system. It was a searing rocky world with no atmosphere and no moons.

Slag is also the name for the waste material left behind after the smelting of ore into metal.

Slag is also a (somewhat dysphemistic) slang term referring to an object (typically a starship or structure) or terrain that has been partially or completely melted by blasterfire - in essence, reduced to a state resembling the waste material from ore smelting. It can also be used as a verb (e.g. "slag a planet's surface") meaning "to reduce [something] to slag" - generally not in the context of ore smelting.
