Slug

A slug was the common term for the ammunition of projectile weapons. They varied in size from small ones used in submachineguns or pistols up to giant variants shot by planetary defenses. Slugs could be custom made, and custom designed by there owners. And specialized ammunition including Incendiary, explosive, and rubber "Mercy" rounds, where not uncommon in military use.
