Sluudrese or Sludese was the native language of the Sludir species from Sluudren. It was mainly formed by grunts, snorts and whinnies, making it harsh-sounding.

There was no written form for that language, and ideas had to be conveyed through intricate images. During the Galactic Empire, written Basic replaced this activity.

Sludirs also had base-six mathematics.

Most Sludir were fluent in both Sludese and Basic, although they were only literate in their own language.
