The Republic heavy cruiser was a type of capital ship in the Republic Navy during the Exar Kun War and the Mandalorian Wars alongside the venerable Hammerhead-class cruiser. Ships of this class were part of the Courageous battle group that defended the world of Serocco from an attack by the Mandalorians. It was comparable in size to a Republic blockade runner.
