Sofia Coppola (born May 14, 1971) is the daughter of director Francis Ford Coppola, a longtime friend of George Lucas. In The Phantom Menace, Sofia played Saché, one of Queen Amidala's handmaidens.

In 1972, Coppola appeared in her father's film The Godfather as Michael Corleone's infant nephew, Michael Rizzi. She later had a prominent role in The Godfather Part III as Michael's daughter, Mary. Coppola was cast after Winona Ryder fell ill. Her performance was critically panned by most critics and fans of the first two Godfather films.

At the 2004 Academy Awards, Coppola won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Lost in Translation, and was nominated for Best Director.
