The solar ionization cannon was a powerful weapon used by both the bounty hunter Montross on his starship, Hell's Anvil, and by Darth Maul on his Sith infiltrator, the Scimitar.^[2] It featured a power hungry, high intensity beam of ionized light that could bypass conventional shields, and melt durasteel.
