Solar ionization cannon

The solar ionization cannon was a powerful weapon used by both the bounty hunter Montross on his starship, Hell's Anvil, and by Darth Maul on his Sith infiltrator, the Scimitar^[1]. It featured a high intensity beam of ionized light that could not be blocked by anything save a lightsaber.
