The Solay Civil War was a 50-year-long struggle of the oppressed people of Solay to depose the despot of their planet, and restore freedom and democracy.

Having led the rebellion for 50 years, Raggold was finally able to lead his followers to victory in the final battle of the war, where the royal palace's defenses were breached and the pro-Imperial King Blackart was captured.

Unbeknownst to the rebels, Raggold had betrayed them to the Galactic Empire as a young man, and a few days after the war ended, an Imperial fleet arrived to take direct control over the planet. Raggold had killed himself during the last battle when he realized the true outcome of his victory.
