Soldier was a clone originating from the same template that the Jedi Knight Jaden Korr was created in an Imperial research facility on a frozen moon in the Unknown Regions.

He was the most stable of the clones of many Force-sensitives created by the Galactic Empire, as part of a cloning program that was initiated by Grand Admiral Thrawn. He had the best connection to the force of all the clones as he was the only one (including Jedi Knight Jaden Korr) to not be completely effected by the Umbaran Nyss's power of blocking out the force to force users and effectively shutting down lightsabers.

Soldier also did not suffer from a sickness that afflicted the other clones, and because he was sickness free the other clones did not fully accept him as one of them. The only ones to accept him were the children Grace, Blessing and Gift. Alongside Alpha's child, Grace, he was the only one to survive.
