The South Ridge was located south of the Clabburn Range on the frozen world of Hoth. This was a gathering point for the GR-75 medium transports and starfighters of the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Battle of Hoth. R2-D2 was waiting for Luke Skywalker aboard his X-wing starfighter. Luke and Wedge Antilles both departed from this range.
