The Space Pirate Boogie was a traditional Corellian[1] folk dance.[2] The Corellian folk-singer Grondorn Muse was known for breaking out in the Space Pirate Boogie at the end of his performances prior to being blacklisted by the Galactic Empire.[1] In 5 ABY,[3] the Corellian Han Solo hosted a housewarming party at his sky house on the planet Bespin, where the hired band knew all of his favorite Corellian folk dances. Solo taught his romantic partner Leia Organa the Space Pirate Boogie at the party.[2]

The Space Pirate Boogie first appeared in the 1992 junior novel Zorba the Hutt's Revenge, written by Paul and Hollace Davids.[2]
