The Spear was a DP20 frigate that saw service with the Rebel Alliance Fleet during the Galactic Civil War. It was usually seen escorting the Defiance Task Force, and carried a cargo of tauntauns. It managed to escape with the rest of the fleet after Rebel pilots eliminated their pursuers after the disastrous Battle of Hoth.
