Spicebrew was a beverage served at Old Jho's Pit Stop, a cantina located on the planet Lothal that was owned by an Ithorian named Jho. A Rodian[1] known as Tsoklo[2] drank a cup of spicebrew on the fifteenth annual Empire Day, a celebration of the Galactic Empire's founding[1] in the year 19 BBY.[3]
Behind the scenes
Spicebrew first appeared in Star Wars canon in "Empire Day,"[4] a 2014 episode in the first season of the animated series Star Wars Rebels.[5] It was later named in Ezra's Duel with Danger, a 2015 junior novel adaptation of the Star Wars Rebels episodes "Empire Day," "Gathering Forces," and "Path of the Jedi," written by Michael Kogge.[1] Spicebrew was originally created for the 2004 Star Wars Legends novel MedStar II: Jedi Healer, written by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry.[6]
