The Splendor Tavern was a well-known but seedy tavern on Coruscant prior to the Clone Wars. The Tavern being no stranger to blaster fire, many of the flashy letters in its sign had been shot out, so that its name seemed to be simply "DOR" rather than "SPLENDOR". As a result, it was widely known as "the Dor".
