Spotter droids were battle droids used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic to transmit coordinates for various units. One model was the Longvision LV-38 spotter/probe droid. Versions held onboard YT-5100 Shriek-class bombers resembled silver protocol droids equipped with odd rifles.
